How to Make Your Pores Look Smaller

Open pores can cause all kinds of problems for skin, shiny skin, black heads and the increased risk of whiteheads, make up tends to gather in them, also the large, very often dark pores can look unsightly.

Unfortunately, you cannot permanently change or reduce the size and shape of your pores, but there are things that you can do to make them less noticeable and temporarily make them look smaller .

When you cleanse your face, opt for a micro grain cleanser, these help to remove trapped dirt from pores.

Always use a non pore clogging moisturiser, look for ones that contain zinc, this will help to keep shine under control and make your pores look smaller.

Pore refiners will do a great job of making pores appear smaller and skin appear more matte. They can be used under foundation or alone for a more natural look.

When applying foundation, opt for one that is non pore clogging, I highly recommend mineral foundations, these will appear to reduce pore size and they are excellent for the skin, giving it a more even tone.

Unless you have used a pore refiner, steer clear of bronzer, this will gather in your pores and look really unsightly!

Once a week, steam your face, this is simply where you sit with your face over a large bowl of hot water and allow it to purify your pores (always wash your face before you do this!)

Place a towel over your head and lean forward towards the bowl for the maximum effect.

Also, exfoliate at least twice a week, this will remove all the deeply embedded dirt and grime that will make the pores look darker and stretch them and make them look bigger.
