How to Make a Potato Casserole Quick and Easy

Barbie Crafts
You can make a potato casserole quick and easy! Don't tell anyone how cheap, quick and easy it is, and they will never know!I used to make this recipe with fresh potatoes, and expensive grated cheese. I substituted and made shortcuts, and people actually liked it better! So, why bother with peeling and expensive ingredients?

This is so good, and so fast, because you use canned potatoes! It is a big hit at pot lucks, and it is so easy. You can throw it together in a few minutes on a work night.
InstructionsThings You'll Need:

  • 2 cans or canned potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Sliced sandwich cheese, cheddar or American
  • margarine
  • salt,pepper, paprika
  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400-425.

Grease a shallow baking dish. I usually use a square corning ware dish.

  3. Step 3

Layer the Potato slices in the dish.

  4. Step 4

    Dot with butter or margarine.

  5. Step 5

Cover with sandwich slices of cheese. (american cheese or cheddar)

  6. Step 6

Season the soup, undiluted, with salt, pepper, and paprika. Spread over the cheese.

  7. Step 7

Bake around 20 minutes, checking frequently.
    Tips & Warnings

  • Be very careful and don't let the cheese burn, especially if you are using sandwich cheese. The soup should cover most of it, but you don't want black cheese on this dish.
