How to Pray the Chaplet of Faith

Dina Staggs
The Chaplet of Faith is prayed on the traditional Catholic Rosary.

Begin by making the Sign of The Cross.

The Sign of the Cross:
"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

(To make the Sign of The Cross use your right hand, to touch your forehead at the mention of the Father; the lower middle of your chest at the mention of the Son; and the left shoulder on the word "Holy" and the right shoulder on the word "Spirit." This pattern forms a Cross.)
On the large beads, you say the The Apostles' Creed

Pray "The Apostles' Creed" on the large beads where the "Our Father" is usually prayed.

The Apostles' Creed:
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

On the small beads where the "Hail Mary" is usually prayed, pray the following prayer.

"Jesus, Mary, I love you, save souls, save the consecrated. Amen"

Continue following this pattern till you reach the end of the rosary. At the end of the rosary, pray the "Hail Holy Queen" five times.

The Hail Holy Queen:
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Amen.

The Sign of the Cross:
"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

Dina, I escpecially like the Apostle's Creed. I see it as a protection of the Divine Written Word and the Church's Doctrine, handed down to the Apostles by Christ Himself. Nice article indeed. Many thanks & blessins. : - )
