How to Pray the Chaplet of St. Anne

Although the author is unknown, the tradition of this chaplet dates back to 1875. Many believe that the chaplet of St. Anne promises a great number of spiritual and temporal Blessings.

How to pray the Chaplet of Saint Anne:
Begin by making the Sign of The Cross.

The Sign of the Cross:
"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

(To make the Sign of The Cross use your right hand, to touch your forehead at the mention of the Father; the lower middle of your chest at the mention of the Son; and the left shoulder on the word "Holy" and the right shoulder on the word "Spirit." This pattern forms a Cross.)

Pray one Our Father and five Hail Marys in honor of Jesus Christ. After which pray: "Jesus, Mary, and St. Anne, grant the favor I ask."(mention your request)

After which pray: "Jesus, Mary, and St. Anne, grant the favor I ask."(mention your request)

O God, be with us in our time of trial. Protect us, Lord, from every evil.

Good St. Anne, you were especially favored by God to be the mother of the most holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Savior. By your power with your most pure daughter and with her divine Son, kindly obtain for us the grace and favor we now seek. Please secure for us also forgiveness for our past sins, the strength to perform faithfully our daily duties, and the help we need to persevere in the love of Jesus and Mary. Amen."
