Follow Company Instructions
The most important thing you should do once you have booked the date and time of your glamour photo session is to make sure that you follow the company instructions. Has the glamour photo company asked you to come into the studio without make-up? Does your hair have to be left down or combed into a ponytail? Following these basic instructions can help to make your glamour photo session a more rewarding experience when you show up for your appointment.
Set a Budget!
If you will be paying for the glamour photo session yourself, you should keep in mind that even though the company will do their best to make you look gorgeous and photogenic during the session, their main objective is to make as much money off you as possible. Make-up artists and photographers will do what they can to put you at ease as your hair and make-up are done and as you pose for the photos. But once all of the photos have been taken, they will try to get you to buy expensive packages of photos, even though you may have only intended to buy one or two photos. One way to overcome this ploy is to have a set budget in mind and to be firmly determined to stick to the budget. If you feel that you may give way as you browse through the photos, just view thumbnails of the photos, rather than full screen photos, and pick out the photos that you like the best.
Outfits
One of the great benefits of attending a glamour photo session is being able to wear a variety of outfits that show you in casual, formal and informal poses. Even though certain props will be on hand during the glamour photo session, you will still need to pick out your own clothes that you will wear during the photo shoot. Be selective in your choice of clothes, as you will have these photos as a reminder of the glamour photo session for many years to come.
Glamour photo sessions are a fun way to indulge and be pampered for the day. By closely following the company instructions, setting a reasonable budget and selecting appropriate clothes for the occasion, you can get the most out of the glamour photo shoot.

Post a CommentMy daughter went for this type of photo session when she turned 13, she had so much fun!
Fun thing to do- my daughters are almost at the age where this would be a fun present.
Great work!
Well done presentation. I did this once and it was a lot of fun, except I wasn't too crazy about the photographer. Got a great photo out of it though.
Excellent tips! Someday I will do this, I hope!
I've always wanted to do this, but haven't. Now that I know how to prepare, maybe now's the time! Thanks!
