Sonograms are a precious digital image of your unborn child. These images are a joy to have during the pregnancy. They give you a closer insight to the growth of your child. Sonograms are to be shared with friends and family. They are a pride and joy to have. How do you preserve them to last for a lifetime? The context of this article is a guide for mothers to preserve these sonograms.

Many doctors will advise you not to copy these in a scanner or copier. Why? The images from the scanner or copier will ruin the actual images of the sonograms. I know you wouldn't want that to happen. So what can you do? A digital camera or even a cell phone camera will be perfect for this preservation. A simple photo of the sonogram will not harm the photo.

Many mothers wish to preserve their images in some fashion. Parents love to take pictures, especially mothers. Department stores provide their customers with hundreds of choices with photo albums. The designs available are unlimited. If you choose this option for preservation, be sure to choose an album that has pocket sleeves. The pocket sleeves will protect the images.

A cute way to protecting the sonograms is to create a collage of the pictures. Have you seen the shadow boxes available for collages? This simple craft is easy to create. All you need for this project is to have the shadow box and the sonograms, and scrapbook layouts. This is a great way to preserve any images of your unborn child. If you know the sex of your child, add personalized touches of the sex to the collage.

I have personally created a photo album on a cd-rom with my son's photos. This CD includes pregnant belly photos, sonograms, and other images of him after he was born. This CD also includes many other photos of his surgery and various other images. A CD-RW is perfect for this project. This CD will give you the option of adding more photos and information to the CD.

Do you own a video camera? Take video images of the sonograms. This is a perfect way to share them with your friends and family. This preservation protects them for a long time. Videos offer customers various options to choose from. For example, video cameras don't just record on VHS anymore, DVDs are available now.

Sonograms are something to cherish for a lifetime. You want to remember the time your little one was in your tummy. You will want to share the images with everyone and even your unborn child, when he or she is older. But how can you if the images are destroyed. These ideas are to help you preserve your memories. Sonograms are memories that happen once in a lifetime for most. Some other women are lucky to have more children and which in result have more than one sonogram image.

Do not wait to late; you don't want to lose these precious images. It is always best to preserve them from the moment you receive them. If you preserve them right away, they will look good as new. It is a blessing to share these photos with others. It is the greatest feeling to share the growth of an unborn child with those you love the most in the world.
