How to Prevent Hackers on Your MySpace, EBay, and PayPal Accounts

There are many people that are being victimized online everyday because of online hackers. These hackers manipulate and trick you into giving them your personal information. This can be a very dangerous and a violation of people's personal rights. This is a guide that will help you prevent hackers getting into any of your personal internet online accounts. These accounts include your MySpace, eBay, PayPal, and e-mail accounts.

MySpace Prevention

Let's first discuss how hackers can get into your MySpace accounts. What these hackers do sometimes include opening their own MySpace or e-mail account pretending to be MySpace. They do this because they are usually related to a business that is trying to promote ads. They want access to your MySpace so they can spread their ads to all your MySpace Friends. What they do next is they try to find out your contact information. They send you a message through MySpace pretending to be MySpace, and claiming that your account has been hacked. They then include a link to a pretend log in page and that is where they get your information. Once you put your information like you user id and password they have access to your account. Another way they do this is also through e-mail. If you ever get a message from someone claiming they represent MySpace never click on the link they give you. Instead you can e-mail tom and ask him for help, or e-mail customer service on MySpace to check your account. You may also want to change your password just in case. Just remember that if you are not sure if the message is real or not you can always e-mail customer service and report it.

eBay and PayPal Prevention

The hackers that try to get into your EBay and PayPal accounts are similar to the ones that try to access your MySpace Account. EBay Hackers also try to get your personal information and access to your EBay account. They do this by pretending to be EBay and send you an e-mail that states you have abused EBay's Policies and that you are being suspended. The e-mail reads that you can no longer access your account but you must put in your account information to dispute the claim. The e-mail then gives you a link to a sign in page that resembles EBay. Again never click on a link from an e-mail that is sent to your e-mail even if it says it is from eBay. These kind of e-mails are FAKE and not from EBAY. If you want to know how an e-mail is real and from eBay there are two safe ways you can do this without clicking on any links. You can to www.ebay.com and actually sign in to your account on the real site's page. Then you can go to my messages and see if that same e-mail in your e-bay messages. If that e-mail is not there than it was a fake. EBay always sends you a copy of the message in your e-bay main page that they also sent to your e-mail. This goes the same for PayPal. However, it is even more dangerous to give out your PayPal information by clinking on a link from an e-mail. PayPal information is financial and hackers can steal your money that way.
