No matter how much you'd like to keep your hair forever, it's inevitable that your hair will start thinning as you age. If you're lucky, you'll just end up with a sparse looking head. If you're unlucky, you'll go completely bald and have a head that's shinier than a freshly washed window.

Luckily, there are some things you can do to slow down the balding process, and I'll be sharing them with you in this article.

First tip: Relax! Stress is a major contributor to hair loss! In today's day and age, stress seems inevitable, but it can be avoided and dealt with better. Plus, when you stress over losing your hair, you're just pushing yourself into a self-fulfilling prophecy!

Take some time out each day to do something you enjoy. You'll be in a better mood and your mind will be better equipped to deal with stress properly. Some people will find that meditating works best, while others find it easier to exercise. whatever you choose, make sure you put your all into it and let your mind forget about the nagging doubts that bother you all day long.

Now that we've covered one of the biggest hurdles in hair maintenance, let's move on to the next step: finding a good shampoo.

You need to use a shampoo that has a relatively low PH. Using a slightly acidic shampoo is better for the health of your hair and scalp because skin has a naturally lower PH. Working with nature is more likely to give you results than going against the grain.

You will also want to avoid the typical fragrances, fillers and Sodium Lauryl Sulfates found in the vast majority of shampoos. Your best bet is to look in a health food store as most of the salon and drugstore brands will use these harmful ingredients.

Now that you've found a shampoo, you need to learn how to use it correctly. Not only do you need to lather up your hair, you should also be massaging your scalp while shampooing. This stimulates blood circulation on your scalp, which helps hair growth.

Supplements can also be helpful when trying to prevent hair loss and grow new hair. At the very least, eat a healthy diet and take a multi-vitamin. These nutrients are important not only for the health your hair, but for the health of your whole body.

You can also find supplements specifically designed for hair growth and maintenance. These usually contain Biotin and Saw Palmetto. It might be a good idea to look into supplements like these to speed up the growth of your hair.

In conclusion, regrowing your hair requires a bit of patience and know how. Nothing happens overnight, so be patient and persistent if you want to see results.
