How to Make Problem Solving Easier

Jeff Schuman
Have you ever wished that problem solving could be easier? Maybe you could just wake up and all of your problems would be gone. Now wouldn't that be nice. Dream on! Using the tips in this article you can learn to be a better problem solver which should help you at home and at work.

People who aim to truly solve problems seem to have several characteristics in common. Here are 5 of these characteristics.

1. A problem solver does not complain about their problems to other people. you know the old saying "Do not' tell me about your problems. I have got enough problems of my own." This is so true and you will have more friends if you are not always bothering them with your problems.

2. Problem solvers do not dwell on the past. Once something has happened it is time to move on and solve your problem. Once you have solved it. learn from it and move on with your life.

3. Solving your problem may take creativity. There is not always one answer for all similar problems. Are you creative enough to come up with a solution when faced with a unique problem of your own? You may need to do a little brainstorming. Talking to someone you trust for their opinion is different than going to them and complaining about it.

4. Problem solvers effectively handle all of their problems until they get resolved. They do not let any one problem out weigh the others so they can not multitask. In your life at home or at work you may be juggling several problems at once. Being able to keep your wits about you is a big key to this. Making a list and checking it twice until you are completely done with it is helpful as well.

5. Maybe most important is a having the attitude that you will do whatever it takes until you have solved a problem. This may take several tries. You may have to start over on one path you have already gone down. If you are not a quitter you can be an excellent problem solver.

If you feel you still need help with your problems you may need to consult a professional who deals with the type of problems you have. These 5 tips were designed to help you understand the attitude you will need to be a better problem solver. Problems beyond what there characteristics teach may need further attention.
