- You should think of this drink as -- if you go out to a club, and the bartender keels over dead, you should be able to immediately take over and make a TC for everybody there. It's that important.
Step 1 Hot summer night refreshment! Any Collins (Mike Collins, Vodka Collins, Colonel Collins) is good for bringing in that hot night. A collins is a fizz (soda drink) that is stirred instead of shaken. (James Bond opposite, almost like a Bames Jond). Anyway, get a REAL Collins glass, and add 5 ice cubes.
- Step 2
Stir in 1 oz FRESH lemon juice (get a Magic Bullet and pick the lemon off a tree). I cannot stress enough the need for FRESH FRUIT. NONE of those little goofy lemon squirty things. They're like drugs -- just - say - NO!
- Step 3
Add 3/4 oz sugar syrup, and 2 oz QUALITY gin (Beefeater, Bombay). Stir.
- Step 4
Fill the rest of the glass with Coca-cola. Add the cherry and lemon slice. This is a different lemon that you've sliced up, genius.
- Step 5
Go yummy.

AC's licentious, guilty pleasure. What can I say? I write about sex and money. You know, the important stuff. Giggle. (But I do it so well!) Fashion, too. LOL View profile
