How You Can Profit from a Magazine Subscription

Sometimes, You Can't Afford NOT to Have a Magazine Subscription

A lot of people enjoy sitting down and reading a magazine every once in a while. The problem is, magazines tend to be a little pricey for the content. After all, the same information is available online for free. My feelings are how can you afford not to have a magazine subscription? Purchasing a magazine is actually a wise investment if you know what to do with them. Not only do magazines pay for themselves, but you can actually profit from them!

The magazine I have next to me right now has well over $25 in coupons in it for things I actually buy. As you're reading your magazine, go through and clip out the coupons. Skip over the ones you won't use. But, if you purchase the right magazines, you can find awesome grocery coupons in them. For example, this particular magazine I have (All You) has a $1.00 of Splenda, $1.00 off Colgate toothpaste, $0.50 off Jell-O as well as coupons for vitamins, popcorn, peanut butter, soap and many others. There's actually a coupon in here for $0.50 off next month's magazine purchase.

So, for any woman whose husband wants you to cancel your magazine subscription, show him your next grocery shopping receipt detailing how much money you saved. Then, tell him you got all those coupons from your "expensive" magazines.

You can also make money off of certain magazines by cutting out articles and photos of celebrities and selling them on eBay. File them by celebrity and once you have a bunch, sell them as a lot. People who are huge fans of a certain celebrity are willing to pay for these. Just make sure you keep them nice and in good condition.

You can also use old magazines for a variety of crafts. Free craft supplies! Cut out words, phrases or photos you like and put them in a shoebox. When you're feeling creative, dig through! This is also a great way to add a personal touch to a gift for a friend or family member. You can use these images from magazines to create gift tags, decorate an envelope, or make a personalized card.

After you're done clipping your coupons, cutting out articles and photos of celebrities, selecting your scrapbooking materials and, of course, reading your magazine, you can then send what's left through a paper shredding machine and use that in place of tissue paper inside a gift bag. You can also use a hole punch and use old magazines as confetti at your next party.

I use magazines to come up with ideas for writing articles. I figure for every $2.50 I spend on a magazine (that's what they cost here in Thailand :-), I can make at least $11 on upfront payments for two unique articles from AC. Works every time :-)

u can also sell them on ebay after reading, if they aren't too cut up. I resold all my celebrity mags and I made back the $$ I spent to buy the subscription originally!
