The very first thing that you need to do is, of course, to produce a video. You have a few options here which range from hiring a professional video creation service to using a number of free or paid programs to compile your own video. The biggest thing that you need to realize is that your video does not need to be about your product which you are trying to promote. Let me emphasize this again, you are not making a commercial. Rather you want to make an entertaining video that targets your demographic. So, if you are trying to sell an ebook about auto repair then a good video for you to produce may be one which follows a car being restored, or perhaps just some beautiful muscle cars. The final thing that you need is a watermark, or subtitle. You can put this throughout the video, in a couple spots, or just at the end and intro. It is up to you but a subtitle throughout seems to work the best. You want to simply put your product's URL followed by a short call to action; in this case something like "Repair Your Car to Look Like This, Check Out:"
Now that you have your video up you want to upload it. You should upload it to as many different video websites as possible. The next thing to keep in mind is your title. Your video will be indexed, by the video title, in Google and other search engines so your title needs to be a good key phrase here. Be sure to do your keyword research. Remember, each video will show up in the search engines so use a different title for each. You should also plug your URL into your description, in the first line, so that you get a clickable backlink to your product. This is especially helpful because there are tons of websites that scrape videos and display them, this means that you can get hundreds of free backlinks for each video that you upload.
Your next step is to get your video viewed. While your video will get some natural views through video searches and search engine traffic you are going to want to step this up a bit. Submit each video to social bookmarking websites, make blog comments about it, basically promote it as if it is a website. Another good idea is to inflate your views. On YouTube especially videos will rank higher if they have more views. There are programs out there that can increase your views, such as Tube Marketer. Although this is somewhat unethical it takes a lot less promotion for your video to be a success with this method.
Hopefully you can see just how easy it is to promote your product with video marketing. Give it a try and you will be sure to start making sales in no time.
