How to Propose on Easter

When couples think of proposing on major holidays usually the subject of Valentine's Day, Christmas or New Years comes up. To really surprise the one you love, spring the news on her on Easter Sunday. Here are some great ways to ask your girlfriend to marry you on Easter.

1.) At Church
This is especially sweet if you met your lady love there. Talk to your minister or preacher beforehand about it and have a special section printed up in the bulletin if you can. Have it say something like "Mr So & So has a special announcement to make after closing prayer." Not only will this leave a keepsake for you future wife to start her engagement scrapbook with it, it will build anticipation on her part all through the service. Unable to do anything other than whisper, you can be sure that this day will forever be in her memory. Say a few words about how God brought the two of you together and that you want to propose to her in front of Him and all of your family and friends to make it official.

2.) After Easter Dinner
After the last of the ham is sliced and the pies finished, stand up to say a toast. Include her family in your words and then get down on one knee at the table to ask for hand. Do it as sweet or as witty as you like, such as "I have something to apologize to you all for, you see next year you may all have to travel to our house for dinner..." Then look at her and say "If, of course, you're beautiful daughter will give me the honor of being my wife.

3.) At an Easter Egg Hunt
Hide plastic eggs filled with candy and such instead of actual colored boiled eggs. Have her name clearly printed on one of them. Inside hide an engagement ring or a slip of paper that leads her to the next egg. Make it as much of a treasure hunt as you want to.

4.) In Her Easter Basket
Place her favorite candies inside a basket. Include a stuffed rabbit that is holding a box or has a necklace on with a ring. Wrap a few different boxes in colorful paper that have small gifts inside and have the one at the bottom contain the ring. Just make sure to be right in front of her when she opens it.

5.) Have the Easter Bunny Deliver It in Person
Hire a local company to deliver a singing telegram dressed as Mr. Rabbit himself to propose on Easter to your girlfriend. Better yet, dress up yourself, sing her a song and then get down on one knee, take off your mask and ask her to marry you herself. Guaranteed to make this one of the most unique romantic holidays that there could be in your marriage.
