Exercising is a great way to keep your body healthy and stress free. However, frequent exercising like aerobics can take a toll on your feet if they are not properly protected. When feet are not properly protected during aerobic exercises it can cause short and long time consequences. You may hurt your feet during frequent aerobic exercise by: putting to much pressure on your feet, landing on your feet the wrong way, not wearing the proper footwear, and by accidents. Some short and long term consequences can include arch pain, heel and ankle pain, joint pain, muscle pain, and blisters to name a few. The important thing to remember when doing aerobic exercises is to PROTECT YOUR FEET! Here are some ways you can protect your feet when doing aerobic exercise.

Wear the correct Footwear

I once took an aerobics dance class and my Coach told our class that one of the most important things to remember in her class was to wear the proper Footwear so you do not injure yourself and so you can do the exercises she was teaching properly. Now there are many kinds of aerobic exercises so that means there are different kinds of footwear depending on the exercises. One of the most important things to think about when deciding what kind of Footwear to get for aerobic exercises is FIT. Make sure your shoe fits exactly to your feet. If you are wearing footwear that is too big or too small you are more likely to injure yourself. Also when deciding on footwear for aerobic exercise try to get something light to wear instead of heavy. If your footwear is light you are able to move more during exercises and are less likely to get injured.

Wrap your feet

There are some aerobic exercises that may not include footwear. If you are doing aerobic exercises barefoot consider wrapping your feet and knees up. Wrapping your feet can help prevent injuring because it can help relieve pressure especially if you are not wearing any shows. By wrapping your feet you can prevent pain that your feet may experience.

Stretch

You may thing stretching doesn't matter but it really does, and it will definitely help protect your feet from injury. There are many kinds of stretches that will help get the feet ready for aerobic exercises and prevent injury and pain.

So remember when aerobic exercising your feet are important features of your body that need protecting to prevent pain and injury.
