Using WordPerfect or MS Office Word programs is fine but you have to remember that even those software are not perfect so please forgive them. The best way is usually self editing and proofreading before the assignment gets published such as in articles. I don't know how many times I have seen this but there were more spelling errors than grammar on Associated Content. Come on people. Work on them before AC approved them to get published online.
I would suggest you have either one of the programs right in front of you and already having ideas on what kind of topics to write about is a great start. If you are stuck in this area, get some magazines and/or other reading materials and see what articles interest you. What did you learn from the articles that helped you with your life? If you have some ideas on how to fix a problem, what are the tips and solutions you came up with or in my opinion somewhat borrow but word it your way.
Sometimes having some friends to discuss about different topics can bring up interesting ones that you can use such as in the cases of high school kids already having one and most of them don't have a GED or a high school diploma. That idea there can be a article about why kids don't graduate from high school. Pregnancy and kids aren't the only issue. Sometimes other aspect of their lives made them quit school which can affect them later on in life.
If you read newspapers or the internet for the latest news, you can write about them and tell the world what you think. Sometimes stating what you know and having solutions to things would be great way to get things off your chest especially if something bothers you but never take them personal. It's opinions. And I believe that everyone has the rights to. If any of these words pop ideas in your head, that's great but if not, it's fine. Keep working on your writings on the Word or wordPerfect program before posting stuff up as my advice.

Post a CommentI know Grammar Cop and Grammar. This article was written sometime last year. My English is getting better. It may not be the best but at least I try.
Great advice here, Laurie. What really confounds me is when I see article titles with glaring spelling errors- how can one expect to be indexed by Google when there are spelling errors in the title, of all things??
