Check out the dog that you want. Before buying a pet dog, you might to know the type of dog that you want to own. You can try checking out magazines or the internet to check out the different breeds of dogs so that you will have an idea on the type of dog that you want.

Shop for pet dogs at dog shelters. Instead of buying dogs from pet shop, why not try buying pet dogs from dog shelters. Usually, dogs from pet shops are highly priced or very expensive because they are bred purely. If you are going to buy dogs from dog shelters, you will be able to save money and save the life of a dog.

Check out your local classified ads. Usually, pet owners who have bred their dogs would sell their puppies through classified ads. Check out your local classified ads and look for owners who are selling their puppies or dogs. You would be surprised to find out multiple pet owners selling their dogs. You can choose which dog you like and negotiate with the seller. Sometimes, sellers would also post advertisements at local bulletins or those located at supermarkets and groceries. You can check out those bulletins and try negotiating with the sellers.

Look for sellers of dogs through the internet. If you don't have a lot of time to check out your local classified ads or bulletin boards, then you can still look for the advertisements of sellers of dogs through the internet. Go to online classified ads and look for dog sellers. You can also check out pet owners' forums because it is also possible that these sellers would sell puppies if they have bred their dogs.

Unlike in pet stores, you can negotiate for the price of puppies with sellers. You can purchase your pet dog at an affordable price through these sellers, so it is much advisable to buy your dogs from sellers rather than purchase from pet stores.
