How to Put Your Hair into a Chic Bun

Buns are no longer the domain of old ladies or ballet dancers, in fact, a large bun can look chic and sophisticated and add an air of elegance to your look.

Below is a step-by-step guide to creating a chic bun.

1. Dirty is better.

Hair that is freshly washed is flyaway and won't go up properly, try to leave washing your hair for at least a day.

2.Decide on the height

Do you want a high up bun? Or a low down bun? Or maybe even a side bun?

Decide where you want it and put your hair in a ponytail in that position.

3.Use a bun ring/doughnut

These are essential for creating a uniform, chic bun, simply slide it over the hairband that is holding your ponytail in place.

4.Spread your hair over the bun so it is completely covered and tuck the ends underneath the bun ring.

5. Put a small hair band over the top to hold the hair in place and if necessary, secure with grips. Finish with a light mist of hairspray.
