How to Put a Slideshow on Your MySpace Page

Many people ask me how to put a slide show on their web page. I always tell them how easy it is and they are always extremely thankful when they are done and have accomplished this simple task.

To explain how to do this, I will use www.rockyou.com.

-Go to www.rockyou.com.

-If you aren't automatically taken to the page entitled "Choose a Widget", click "Create" at the top left of the screen.

-Click "Slide shows!".

-You can choose to add your pictures one at a time, or you can choose to upload multiple pictures at once. That is how I'm going to do this, so make sure you've selected "Upload Multiple Files".

-Click "Browse".

-Wherever your pictures are saved, open up that file folder.

-To select images, hold down the "Ctrl" key and keep it held down while you click each file that you'd like to have in your slide show. When you are done, click "Open" to have them uploaded to RockYou.

-Now you can customize your slide show! Over on the right hand side of the screen, there are tabs that you can click to give your slide show your own little touches.

-To add captions, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and add your captions. This is also the location where you can move your pictures around into the order you want them in. Just click on the image and drag it to the spot you want it.

-Now that you're done with customizing your show, click the save button. You can either choose to sign up for RockYou or continue as a guest by clicking on the "Skip" that is in font. The perks of having an account is that if you mess up, you can go back and edit without redoing he entire thing.

-Once you're at the preview of your slide show, scroll down to the "Copy The Code" section. If you just click on the code, it highlight it, and all you have to do is press "Ctrl" and the letter "C" at the same time to copy it.

-Finally, go to your MySpace page and click "Edit Profile". Pick a section that you want your slide show to appear in. Then click on that section, and paste the code into it.

-Click "Save All Changes" at the top of the screen, then you'll be directed to a section where MySpace will be asking you to type in a code. Once you do that, it saves your changes.

-Now you're done! Go to your profile and make sure the slide show comes up in the section you chose!

Congratulations! You just put a slide show on your MySpace page!
