Take a shirt that you have that fits properly and is the right length. Obtain the measurement from across the shirt, from armpit to armpit. Next measure the length from the armpit to the end of the shirt. Knowing your true body measurements will prevent ordering the wrong size. Make it a practice to completely ignore sizing labels in vintage clothes. The only way for an accurate fit is to measure.

Save unorganized shops for days where you want to spend at least an hour sorting through clothes. Choose organized stores to save time.
