This guide is just a supplement to a heavy regimen that should be undertaken when you are thinking about quitting drinking. If you like beer, perhaps non alcoholic beer or wine is a route you could take. If you like the feeling of being drunk, like most people do. The main thing you want to do is avoid drunk people and seeing liquor or beer anything like that. Attend an AA meeting or talk to people that don't drink. Don't go into the bar on Friday night and have a soda, while everybody else is getting drunk. You will end up drinking before the end of the night .
If you have any type of stress in your life you should get rid of it for a while, take a vacation, get away from it all. You need some time for you to recover. After all this recovery is about you. If feel like you can't control yourself from having a drink, and fail time and time again after quitting time and time again. Then you should probably check yourself into a rehab facility or get professional help.
Recovery from alcohol addiction is not easy, as alcohol is a staple of our society and it is all over the place. People drink socially and go to work everyday with no problems, but if you are having a problem with alcohol or it is affecting your work, or home life then you are probably an alcoholic and should quit drinking.
Quitting alcohol is not easy because it is physically addictive, and that means you have a battle ahead of you. Some people never quit drinking alcohol, because it is that addictive. Some people go to the grave unable to quit, dying from a disease related to alcoholism so keep that in mind.
