How to Raise that Special Girl in Your Life to Be Daring!
The Daring Book for Girls by Andrea Buchanan and Miriam Peskowitz
The Daring Book for Girls,is a fantastic book filled with ideas ranging from pressing flowers, (something I wondered how to accomplish) and putting your hair up with a pencil (something every girl from the Midwest should know how to do, in my opinion ) not to mention how to play four square (a game I played when I was a girl but had forgotten all about) and even how to make a "sit upon" (which is a great craft item for any group of girls to learn).
This book is a winner from start to finish and despite your age, girls from all walks of life can enjoy the information within it's pages and find something new and different each time it's cover is opened. I am far from a young girl, no matter what my hair stylist might say, but even I found some fun information within it's pages.
And when I shared this book with a neighbor girl, she was as fascinated with it as I was, reading aloud passages to me as she waited for the bus one morning. It was official, it's a hit from age 7 to ....well, MY age! LOL
So whether you are interested in learning double Dutch jump rope or want to be privy to the Daring girls guide to danger, this book has it all! From the most reserved of activites to the most bold, any girl who reads this book cannot help but feel as if she has closed it's pages knowing more about it after reading than she did before and perhaps she might even be like me, finally be able to whistle with two fingers...(a knack I never did get down before reading this book) but one I can proudly say I can master now thanks to The Daring Book for Girls!
Check this book out for that daring girl in your life. I promise it will be money well spent for a book that will see little shelf time but will plenty of lap time while the contents are perused over and over again! A great book for any occasion especially a "just because" gift. In fact, The Daring Book for Girls, is as my son would say, "a no brainer" of a gift, sure to be a hit for any young lady on your gifting list this year!
