Texas Spreadum dip is a old family recipe I've finally decided to share with the world. Its a wonderful blend of creamy and spicy that will set your taste buds aflame and get your heart to pounding. I've served this dip at many of my sports parties in the past and plan on serving it again this year during the baseball and Nascar seasons. It was a hit during the past football season as well.

Making a really good Texas Spreadum dip at home is a simple and easy task. It will be very easy for you to create your own family tradition from the basic example listed below.

Ingredients:

12 ounce package of cream cheese. Try and get a no name or store brand of cream cheese as they are the same quality as any brand name will be. Never pay for a name when you can be paying for more food when making a really good Texas Spreadum dip.

1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. You can use a smoked cheddar for extra flavor.

1 cup of sour cream.

Directions:

Allow your cream cheese to soften somewhat before using. Toss your cream cheese, really good salsa. cheddar cheese, and sour cream in a blender and blend mix for about 15 seconds for your really good Texas Spreadum dip. Scoop out of the mixer and place in the bowl you intend to serve your really good Texas Spreadum dip. Serve this dip at room temperature or if preferred you can heat it in the microwave for a minute or two to melt all the cheeses.

Really good Texas Spreadum dip is best served with crackers, thick chips or veggie strips while at room temperature or warm. It makes a excellent party dip or luncheon appetizer. Try a scoop of really good Texas Spreadum dip on your next baked potato or green beans for an amazing side dish.
