If you are an addicted gamer, you might have been through a massive battle in the War of Wordcraft or a FIFA match with many great goals. However, how you will record these games to show your friends or share it on Youtube.

There are many software to help you record your games. However, I recommend ZD Soft Game Recorder because it has many advantages. ZD Soft Game Recorder has a great recording speed. It can record any PC game (from mini games to 3D games) and allows you to choose frame size and sound quality of the recorded video file.

Besides, ZD Soft Game Recorder is only about 2 MB of your system resource. It is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista. You can buy the professional version for $39 or download free version here.

ZD Soft Game Recorder requires your system at least to have Intel Pentium III, CPU 1.0GHz, RAM 128 MB and 2 GB free space. However, the program recommends Intel Pentium 4, CPU 2 GHz, RAM 512 MB and 5 GB free space. You should also install DirectX 9.o and FFDShow Video Codec.

ZD Soft Game Recorder has 5 main tabs:
1. Video:

Save to: Click "Change" to locate where you want to save your video file (the default is C:\Game Recordings). In the bottom, you can choose the save the video files as AVI or WMV. The default codec is Microsoft MPEG-4 VKI Codec V2 which gives out a good quality video and a affordable size.

Video Size: Allows you to choose frame size for your recording video. If you have a strong PC, I recommend you to use Full Screen Size to create a quality video. If not, you can check ΒΌ Screen Size or Custom Size to choose a suitable frame.

Video FPS: Choose how many Frames Per Second.

Start/Stop Recording Hot key and Pause/Resume Recording Hotkey: Create hot key to start or stop recording. The default hot key for starting is F9 and stopping is Ctrl + F9.

Mouse Cursor: Unmark "Enable" if you do not want to program to record the cursor.

2. Audio:

Mark "Record audio along with video" to keep your sound.

Audio Device: Allows you to adjust the volume.

Sample Rate and Quality: Assists you to set your sound rate and quality.

3. Info: You can put in title, author, copyright information or summary of your video.

4. Screenshot: Allows you to set up Screenshot Hotkey, Screenshot Size and File Type. Also don't forget to locate where you want to save your pictures in the "Save To" section.

5. Options: You can choose some extra features here. They include Run program automatically when Windows starts, Set program window always on top of all windows, Show game FPS when recording starts.

After setting all of the tabs, you are ready to record your game. Run your favorite game and press F9 to start recording. Now, you can share your game experience with your friend and have a recorded memory about the game you play.
