The Apple iPhone 3Gs is a smartphone released by Apple for AT&T cellular in 2009. One of the widely touted features of the 3Gs phone is that is has the ability to record, edit, and share video right on the phone itself.
How to record video on the iPhone 3Gs.
On the main iPhone menu tap on the "Camera" icon in the selection of available widgets. Slide the camera/video switch on the screen over to the video camera icon before beginning.
Tap on the red recording button when you are ready to record. Make sure that the camera lens has a clear view and that your hand is not blocking the lens. Aim the camera and press record.
To record in landscape mode, a wider camera angle orientation, turn the phone sideways while recording to automatically switch between portrait and landscape modes.
Take note of the rectangle outline presented on the iPhone screen. This rectangle outline indicates where the camera's area of focus is currently at; items seen inside the rectangle on the iPhone screen will be in focus.
You can adjust the point of focus by simply tapping on the area where you want the camera to focus. This might be a particular person's face, a building, or another item in the camera's line of sight. The iPhone's camera will automatically adjust the focus and the exposure to focus in on the tapped area.
To stop recording you just need to tap the recording button that is on the screen again. You can pause recording and resume recording by doing this as well. You can review the latest video that has been recorded on the iPhone's video recorder by tapping the thumbnail image in the lower left hand side of the screen. You can also easily delete video on the iPhone by tapping the icon of a trash can on the iPhone's screen.
Depending on the model and storage capacity of your iPhone 3Gs you may be able to store more or less video in the iPhone's built in memory. Those who want to record longer video clips may want to consider the largest capacity iPhone that is currently available.
The iPhone 3Gs has an intuitive video recording system that makes it quick and easy to record video on the go. The tap to focus feature in itself puts the iPhone's video recording capabilities far above most other smartphones' ability to record and capture live video.
