Overview
Computers are an ideal place to store your photos because it is inexpensive and provides you convenient access to them whenever you want to print them or upload them to a website. Oftentimes you might put shortcuts to most frequently accessed photos on your desktop. However, you might accidentally delete some of those shortcuts one day. No need to worry, though, because your pictures are not gone forever. They can, in fact, be recovered.
Step 1
Double-click the "Recycle Bin" icon that is located at the top left-hand corner of your computer's desktop.
Step 2
Locate the shortcuts that contain the photos you want to recover. Click on a shortcut to select it.
Step 3
Click "Restore Selected Item" from the list of tasks listed on the left side of the window.
Tips
Hold down the "Ctrl" key to select more than one shortcut to be restored at a time.
Warnings
If your Recycle Bin has been emptied, then you won't be able to recover the photos from there. However, if you have them uploaded to a website like a photo hosting website, you can simply download them to your computer.
