No need to throw all of those beautiful Christmas cards you received from friends and relatives this year. It is time to go green and recycle Christmas Cards into new Christmas cards. You can recycle your Christmas cards by saving Christmas cards you get in the mail. You can recycle your Christmas cards into new free Christmas cards that you craft from the used Christmas cards.

To recycle your old Christmas cards into new Christmas cards you will need a few items. To make the new, free Christmas cards out of the recycled Christmas cards I suggest card stock paper. You will need scissors and glue and you may want some colored paper, ribbons, buttons, glitter and scrapbooking extras to make the recycled Christmas card craft.

To make the recycled Christmas cards just take a piece of card stock and cut it in half then fold in half and you have a sturdy blank card. Then cut out all of the best pictures of Christmas trees, Snowmen, Santa Claus and anything else you like from the sent Christmas cards that you want to use. You could glue a small colored piece of paper to the front of the card stock card for added background colors then add the pictures to the top. Next add any type of embellishments such as glitter or bows to the outside of the recycled Christmas card.

For the inside of the card you can use the words, saying or poems from the preprinted Christmas cards or you could come up with your own. There are all kinds of Christmas poems, quotes and sayings to be found on the Internet and you can use those for the inside part of the recycled Christmas cards. Then you need to personalize your Christmas card and sign then send them out.

You could use Christmas card recycling as a craft for you and your children. The Christmas card recycling craft could be done in a school classroom setting. You could also complete this Christmas card recycling craft in a woman's group or in a nursing home.

There are many other ways to recycle Christmas cards. You can use the decorative fronts of recycled Christmas cards into Christmas gift tags to attach to your Christmas presents and gift bags. Cut out a fun Christmas card front in the shape of a rectangle with a bump on one end. Then use a hole punch on the bump end of your recycled gift tag and you have nice looking free gift tags.

You can also use recycled Christmas cards in your Christmas time decorations around doorframes or fireplaces. You can even use old Christmas cards and make Christmas tree ornaments out of them. Recycled Christmas cards can also be made into a decorative Christmas card wreath. Save all of your Christmas cards from year to year and reuse and recycle to save some money.
