How to Recycle Old Boxes

Sjda
Every day, stuff that you buy comes in a box. Pretty much anything and everything from hairdryers to stereos to computer accessories. What does one do with all those old boxes? Not much, you may think, considering they've got store logos and other junk plastered all over them.

But what if you could cover up those logos and personalise them so that they could be used as storage containers or gift boxes?

Well, here's a way to recycle the box AND use up all the scrap paper lying around your house gathering dust.

First, prepare your materials. Get hold of a pair of scissors, some art glue and lots of cellophane tape.

Next, cut up the scraps of paper into squares, triangles and rectangles.

Arrange them onto the surface of each box, gluing them into place with glue.

Once done, stick strips of cellophane tape across the surface of the box so that no scraps of paper are in danger of falling off.

The finished box should have tight, compact feel, with the strips of cellophane tape creating a smooth shiny surface over the colourful scraps of paper visible below.
