There are so many ways to recycle and re use plastic bottles, you can make useful, creative and fun items from them.

Beads.

Cut up strips of plastic, roll them up with pliers and heat with a hairdryer to form beautiful beads. Paint them with nail polish or acrylic paint.

Paint Palettes.

The bottoms of large bottles make excellent paint palettes, ideal for kids or adults, you can even use them for painting the beads you made!

Cooler.

Fill large or small bottles with water and put them in the freezer. Put these into coolers when you are going on a long journey to keep your food cool.

Bag dispenser.

Cut the bottom off the bottle and hang from the wall. Fill the bottle with plastic bags and pull them from the neck of the bottle. Please note: the plastic will be sharp when it is cut so you may want to cover the cut plastic with something, tape, fabric etc.

Bracelets/Bangles.

Cut a strip of plastic, glue the ends together, make sure it is wide enough so that it can fit on your wrist. Cover the strip on fabric and decorate with whatever jewels, beads, or jewels take your fancy!

Storage.

If you have a lot of small objects such as nails or beads, you might not want to put them into bowls or baskets because they will constantly tip over every time you touch them. Store them in large r small bottles, you can replace the cap and your small items will be safe.

Save water.

Some old toilets can use a lot of water when you flush, fill a 1 litre bottle and place it in the cistern, this will help to reduce the amount of water used during flushing.

Spirit level. If you don't have a spirit level to hand, simply fill a 1-litre bottle with liquid, replace the cap and lay on its side, the liquid will be level when the shelf is level.
