How to Reduce Lip Size Naturally

Candice
Generally speaking, reducing lip size is a rarity these days. There are so many people, including celebrities that are injecting fillers, getting plastic surgery and applying all types of lip products to enhance the size of their lips, but if you don't like the size of your smackers, or if your lips are causing you emotional discontent, or are the subject of too many rude jokes, read on to find out how, with a few easy tricks, you can naturally reduce lip size without going under the knife.

Reducing Lip Size With Lip Makeup
Use a concealer or foundation that matches your skin tone. Dab and blend your face foundation or concealer around the natural lip line to cover the actual line of the lips and fill in the outer edges of your lips by blending the concealer well, that way, only where the lip liner is will look like where your lips start. Wear natural lip colors and stay away from bright or bold lip tints. You'll want to find a color that is as close to your natural lip color as possible. Light to neutral pinkish tones or light browns and tans are good as well. Draw inside the natural lip line with a lip pencil as close to your lips' natural skin tone as possible and lightly pencil inside the natural lines of your lips where you'd like the lip line to be. Fill in with a light pretty pink or neutral color. Make sure lip pencil matches lip color and do not use lip gloss as this will only accentuate the lips. Apply a light dusting of mineral powder and finish it with a matte color. Do not wear lip gloss or bright red lipstick as it will only draw attention to your lips. This technique works when going for a natural lip look w/out drawing too much focus on the lips while reducing the size of the lips by sight.

Reducing Lip Size By Bringing Out the Eyes
Drawing full attention to your eyes reduces the look of full lips as well, so play up your peepers by painting vivid eye shadow colors in tonal hues with dark and light colors to enhance the depth of your look. Bold eye liners with lots of mascara also draw attention away from your lips and focus the attention to your gorgeous eyes. Make a splash by applying a "smokey eye" technique and false eyelashes. There are a few manufacturers offering easy to use false eyelashes that are perfect for reducing the size of your lips easily by making your eyes stand out and say, "Hello, look at my fabulous eyes!".

Reducing Lip Size By Playing Up Your Good Traits
Also, don't forget your cheeks and eyebrows as they can add a lot of depth and character to your look while playing up your good traits and minimizing the not-so-good ones. Make those cheekbones stand out by blending a two tone blush adding the darker color below the cheekbone and the lighter-brighter color on the apples of the cheeks. Just make sure to blend well so there are no obvious lines or separation between the two colors. Add definition to your eyebrows and take care to tweeze or sculpt them with a nice arch and fill in any blank spaces by blending a similar color to your natural brow.

After practicing these techniques, you'll be surprised at how much of a difference it makes in naturally reducing the size of your lips, at least the look of them. It is definitely a better alternative then going under the knife with anesthesia. Think of it this way; your large lips will make most women green with envy, so don't think of it as a detriment to your looks, most people would love to have sumptuous smackers, so be proud of those plump pouters and wear them with a wide smile. BTW, smiling makes your lips look thinner too :)

I liked this....for not me personally, my wife promised me a fat lip once (LOL), she was kidding of course, but this is a must-forward to my tween-turned teen TODAY! The last before my nest is empty. I dread the day. Great job, and hey...love your new avatar. Very pretty.

I agree R.K., can't stand the phoney-baloney junk, ..."be happy with what God gave us" is more along what I believe:)

The opposite end of the usual spectrum...I hate when celebs pump up their lips out of proportion.
