How to Refresh Your Makeup when on the Go

Malina Debrie
How do you revitalize your makeup without expending time repeating your morning makeup routine? During the summer months, your makeup begins to show wear and tear around midday. At that time of the day, your skin begins to ooze of oil or appears to be dry and ashen. You know its time to give your face a breather and freshen up your makeup. Yet there isn't always enough time.

Most women who wear makeup know exactly when it's time to revitalize their makeup. When the woman with oily skin begins to feel oil oozing from those pores or when those with dry skin feel like their skin has been cooked under the sun, its time to head to the powder room and give your face a new application of 'wake me up'.

Revive Your Face With A Quick Lemon Water Spritz

If you don't already have one, rush out, down or over to the closest cosmetic counter today and purchase one of those tiny spritzing bottles. Keep one at the office, at home and in the car. Place one in your purse, and anywhere else you can thin is appropriate. Make sure you have one everywhere and anywhere. When your face feels tired and worn, give it a lift by spritzing a little water on it. Nothing refreshes the face more than a quick spritz of water. Add a little fresh lemon juice and watch your face begin to perk up. You will look renewed, refreshed and ready for another afternoon of work. Lemon is not only for drinking. The vitamin C and oils in the lemon provides moisture and nutrients vital for healthy glowing skin. The spritz or very fine mist of water will make you feel energized.

Dab On a Little Foundation

Never leave home without your foundation. Your makeup/cosmetic bag should always be supplied with 'must haves' necessary for any occurrence. Foundation is one of the beauty 'must haves.' When you know it's time to refresh your makeup, pull out your foundation and lightly dab on a little then pat to blend. After adding the foundation, brush on a little translucent powder. When applied correctly, with just a few strokes, your makeup will be refreshed renewed and ready for the remainder of the day.

Dab a Bit of Concealer Under The Eyes

Eyes reveal the strain of the day more so than any other part of the body. As they say, "The eyes are the windows to the soul." When your eyes begin to appear puffy and tired, use your concealer to lighten and open your eyes. However, if you feel it necessary and you have the time, cucumber slices placed over the eyes for a few minutes can do wonders in decreasing puffiness and tired look of your eyes. Place a slice over each eye, allow it to remainder there for a few minutes( 15 minutes is great) and see the results after removing the cucumber slices. Your eyes will reward you by being gorgeous the remainder of the day.

I don't wear alot of makeup - just a bit of mascara. But, lately (with these dark circles from not enough sleep!) I could use a bit of concealer :) cheers
