How to Make a Refried Bean Taquito

Recipe

Have you tried a beef or chicken toquito. Creating a refried bean corn tortilla is very simple and tastes great. Here is what you need.

Ingredients:

* One can of refried beans, any brand, fat free or not.

* On pack of corn tortilla's.

* One tomato

* Sour Cream, regular or lite

* Lettuce

* Pan of oil, vegetable, canola, or olive.

Instructions:

Before cooking, dice up your tomato and slice your lettuce in half inch strips. Then, open your can of refried beans. Place a stack of corn tortilla's in the microwave for 45 seconds, or until flimsy. Fill your pan about an inch deep of oil, and preheat on medium or level six on the stove. Take one corn tortilla at a time, and scoop out one tablespoon of refried beans and spread it in the center only, spreading from one end to the other. Roll the tortilla with the beans in the middle to look like a stick, place in preheated frying pan. Some use tooth picks to keep the tortillas in the correct shape, but if you hold a fork on it for a few seconds after placing in the pan, it will stay in place. Make as many as you want, I usually make three per person.

Once cooked, lay three flat on a plate. Salt if you like it, I do. Take your tomatoes and lettuce and place on the side or on top of the bean taquito. Use one tablespoon of sour cream for each taquito and lay it on the side or spread it over the taquito. You can use your hands to pick them up and eat them or dip them in the sides. These are great for lunch or a midnight snack. Enjoy.
