How Reiki Promotes Health

Lucy Myers
The root meaning of the word heal is whole, and true health refers to wholeness--wellness of body, mind, and spirit.

But the Western view of health is much more limited than the Eastern one. In the West, being healthy means not having any diseases. However, you could still be irritable, depressed, stressed, frazzled, forgetful, etc. The Eastern view of health seeks to prevent all these things and more, giving people a zest for work and play, sleeping and wakefulness, and being fully present--enjoying life on all levels. Reiki promotes the Eastern definition of health, preventing and curing dis-ease on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.

Reiki helps to maintain good health. When you receive a Reiki treatment, whether from someone else or by doing a self-treatment, you receive its curative and preventative benefits at the same time. That is, first, though it may take many treatments, Reiki cures existing diseases and symptoms. Then, when all disease has been eradicated, Reiki promotes your good health and longevity.

Reiki does this by balancing the energy flowing through your body. This may sound simple, but it's essential to good health. Sickness only manifests itself when certain body parts and systems stop functioning naturally. As Reiki flows through your body, it balances the Chakras, meridians, and all body systems. It removes the negative energy of disease, including the mental and emotional causes of many diseases, and replaces it with the positive energy of Reiki.

Reiki can eradicate all diseases, no exceptions. Whether it's bacterial, viral, caused by toxins, or psychosomatic, Reiki can balance the energy. When the body functions naturally, bacteria and viruses are kept in check, not letting sickness manifest. Sometimes they're even forced to do useful work for the body, but only when the body is balanced properly. Reiki always promotes this balance.

It's impossible to keep all toxins from your body. Your environment, stress, food, clothing, thoughts, and everything around you bring toxins into your path. But when the body is balanced, its organs can produce chemicals to neutralize them. Reiki ensures that all organs and systems function properly. Then, they're able to neutralize the toxins and eliminate what they can no longer use.

In a nutshell, Reiki prevents and cures diseases by keeping a large reserve of energy. When micro organisms that cause disease enter the body, reserved energy attacks them. If the reserve is blocked, sickness results. But with the large, positive reserve Reiki provides, sickness cannot manifest on any level.

Practicing Reiki keeps all Chakras and meridians open and balanced. It also promotes health, being the positive reserve of energy needed to combat the negative energy of illness. It can take many regular treatments to eradicate disease. But Reiki is simple to learn and quick to practice, and practicing a few minutes daily is enough to maintain good health after all existing disease and toxins have been eliminated.
