How to Remove a CD from a Car Radio

Phantom Rose
Most every car nowadays features a CD player on its radio system. Removing a CD from a car radio is a relatively simple process that most people know how to do without formal instruction. However, some newer model cars might feature covers that cover the car radio and the CD player as well. No need to panic, though, thinking that your car does not have a radio or CD player. You can easily remove a CD from a car radio that contains this feature in the same manner as that of any car radio.

Things You'll Need

Car keys

Step 1

Turn on the engine to your car so that the power to the car radio turns on.

Step 2

Grasp the handle of the cover which houses the stereo compartment (if your car offers this feature), and slide it up to reveal the car radio.

Step 3

Press the "Eject" button to cause the CD to eject from the car radio CD player.

Step 4

Pull the CD from the CD player and slip it into your CD case for storage.

Tips

Conserve gas by simply turning the key of the car to battery mode to remove CDs from the radio rather than turning on the car.

Warnings

You cannot eject the CD from the car radio CD player if the car is not turned on.
