How to Remove CDs from a Toyota Avalon

Phantom Rose
The Toyota Avalon is among the most popular cars on the automobile market. It offers fuel efficiency in addition to numerous other convenient features traditionally not found in automobiles. Among those features is a sliding door that covers and shields the stereo interface of the car from dust, effectively closing it from sight. Upon first purchasing a Toyota Avalon, you might panic believing your new car not to have a stereo or CD player. No need to worry, though, for it does, and you can easily input and remove a CD from a Toyota Avalon just as with any other car.

Things You'll Need

Toyota Avalon keys

Step 1

Turn on the engine to your Toyota Avalon so that the power to the car stereo turns on. You cannot remove a CD from a Toyota Avalon without the car power being on.

Step 2

Grasp the handle of the cover which houses the stereo compartment, and slide it up to reveal the Toyota Avalon car stereo (if your Toyota Avalon possesses this feature, for some may not, although most do).

Step 3

Press the "Eject" button to cause the CD to eject from the car stereo CD player. Let the CD eject from the stereo naturally. Do not make the mistake that many people do in their impatience and pull on the CD as it is coming out, for this could potentially damage your CD and/or your CD player.

Step 4

Pull the CD from the Toyota Avalon CD player and slip it into your CD case for storage before inserting another CD into the Toyota Avalon's CD player if you wish.

Tips

Conserve gas by simply turning the key of the Toyota Avalon to battery mode to remove a CD from the stereo rather than turning on the car.

Warnings

You cannot eject the CD from the Toyota Avalon CD player if the car is not turned on.
