Tip 1 For Removing Crayon Marks
My go to solution for crayon marks on wooden tables, wood paneling or the refrigerator is the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. This thing really is like magic! Just rub the eraser over the marks, following the package directions, and they will disappear. Any remaining marks can be addressed using one of the other tips here. On painted walls you need to be very careful using the Magic Eraser as it may remove paint as well as the crayon marks.
Tip 2 For Removing Crayon Marks
Use toothpaste! Use the white paste, not the gel type. Gel types of toothpaste may leave an additional stain. Squeeze some toothpaste out and apply it to the affected area. Spread it all over the stained area and scrub well. I have a special toothbrush that I use for cleaning and it helps to scrub the stains away. Wipe off any residue and your crayon marks should be gone.
Tip 3 For Removing Crayon Marks
Baking soda is great for stubborn crayon marks and stains. Make a paste out of baking soda and water and scrub the area well. Wipe off any residue and the stain should be gone. You can also just use a damp cloth and sprinkle baking soda on the area before scrubbing.
Tip 4 For Removing Crayon Marks
Baby Oil is an easy way to clean off crayon marks. Most households keep this in the bathroom and it is cheap and easy to use. All you do is apply it directly to the crayon marks and rub it off. It should remove the stains with ease. You should then wash the area with warm soapy water to remove any excess oil.
Tip 5 For Removing Crayon Marks
Use WD-40 spray if you have no other options. I prefer to use non-chemical means to clean my home but this is one method that works really well. Spray the WD-40 on the stained area and then rub the stains away. Wash the area with warm soapy water to remove any residue.
Tip 6 For Removing Crayon Marks
Vinegar is a great household cleaner. Soak an old toothbrush in vinegar and scrub any crayon marks away.
Tip 7 For Removing Crayon Marks
For a quick solution when you are in a hurry, grab your hand lotion and get to work! Rub the lotion into the marks and wipe them away.
Tip 8 For Removing Crayon Marks
Another cure for crayon marks that may surprise you is hairspray. Spray the hairspray directly on the marks. Be generous. The crayon marks should be able to be scrubbed away immediately.
Tip 9 For Removing Crayon Marks
Rubbing alcohol is a simple solution that works well. Wet a cloth with the alcohol and rub any crayon marks. They should come right off.
Tip 10 For Removing Crayon Marks
Moist baby wipes may seem like they are too gentle to remove crayon marks, but they work pretty well. Just use them to scrub the marks and they should lift right off with a little elbow grease. Any brand works!
