Removing crayon stains can be a difficult process. Crayon is one thing that might never come out of your clothes, garments, sheets, blankets, or other fabric materials. However, there are ways to remove crayon marks from your walls, plastic, ceramic, and wood. If you are having trouble removing your crayon stain after following these tips then it is time to consult your local cleaner for more help.

Remember to test each cleaning procedure on a small area that no one will see because some of these methods involve hazardous products. Furthermore, because of these hazardous products please keep children away from the cleaning area and do not let them clean the mess up their selves.

Brick and Concrete Grab a stiff bristle brush, a soft cloth, and some WD-40. Spray the area with the WD-40 and scrub with your stiff bristled brush. Spray the area again with your WD-40 and then wipe clean with a clean dry cloth. Repeat this as necessary.

Car Carpet Take your WD-40 and spray it on the carpet stain. Wipe the area clean with a dry cloth. Repeat this as necessary until stain is gone.

House Carpet, Cloth Car Interiors, Formica, Metal, Upholstery, and Microfiber Fabrics Remove as much crayon as possible with a dull knife or other tool. Spray the area with your WD-40 and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then with a stiff bristle brush scrape the area and wipe clean with dry paper towels. Apply WD-40 again and also apply liquid dish detergent (example: Dawn) to the stain. Work the solution into the carpet and wipe away with damp cloth or sponge. Repeat if necessary. You can also try upholstery cleaners.

Glass, Porcelain, Marble, Painted Walls, Plastic, Cleanable Wallpaper, Tile, and Vinal Flooring Spray your crayon stain with WD-40 and wipe clean with a dry cloth. If needed repeat procedure adding liquid dishwashing detergent, rub the solution into the stain in a circular motion, and then rinse.

Chalkboard Cover the area with WD-40 and wipe clean. If that does not remove the crayon mark add liquid dishwashing detergent to warm water and wash the surface in a circular motion until removed. Rinse the area well after cleaning.

Fabrics for Melted Crayon Stains Put the surface of your stain face down on some paper towels. Spray the area with Wd-40 and let sit for 5 minutes. Turn the garment over and spray again. Apply liquid dishwashing detergent and replace the paper towels as they absorb the stain. Hand wash in warm water with laundry detergent and OxiClean powder for 12 minutes and then rinse in warm water. If your washer has a heavy soiled option you wan put the garment in the washer.

Dryer If you have melted crayon in your dryer take WD-40 and wipe the areas clean. If this doesn't work use liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. After removing the crayon residue dry a bunch of old rags or towels to ensure the soap and Wd-40 is all off.
