How to Remove Facial Hair with Sandpaper

No Razor Hair Removal

RK
Throughout history, people have used many different techniques to remove hair. During World War II, rationing made razor blades difficult, if not impossible, to get. Women began using sandpaper to remove hair when razors were unavailable. Today, some commercial hair remover products use sandpaper friction to remove hair. Basically, these products are using sandpaper. You can make your own friction hair removal products at home using 600 grit sandpaper.

Things You'll Need

  • 600 grit sandpaper
  • Towel
  • Moisturizer
Step 1:
Rinse skin with cool water. Pat skin dry with a towel.

Step 2:
Wrap a piece of 600 grit sandpaper around your index finger. The backside of the sandpaper should be against your finger and the abrasive side of the paper should be facing out.

Step 3:
Rub the abrasive side of the sandpaper gently on facial skin to remove hair. Working on one spot at a time, gently rub the skin with the sandpaper in a clockwise motion three times. Then change directions and gently rub the skin in a counter-clockwise motion three times. This process may need to be repeated several times to successfully remove hair.

Step 4:
Apply moisturizer to the skin.

Tips

600 grit sandpaper can be purchased at hobby stores and auto body supply stores.

600 grit sandpaper can be used to remove facial hair or body hair.

If you are experiencing skin irritation from the sandpaper, you may be rubbing too hard.

Hair removal results will vary depending on the coarseness of the hair.

Warnings

Do not use a harsher grit sandpaper - it could damage your skin.

Do not use sandpaper on areas with broken skin.

This is cool info. I usually just wax when I get my nails done. It sounds to me that this is less painful. I don't care what anybody says-waxing is painful.
