Get a bowl of ice and gently hold the ice against the silly putty until the putty hardens up. Carefully use a knife and scrape off pieces of the silly putty. Before using nail polish remover on a silly putty stain, make sure to do a small test of the material in an inconspicuous place to check color fastness.
