How to repair a broken heart

A broken heart is a part of life. It is better to have loved then to never have loved at all. Let the one you love go. If it is meant to be, they come back to you. Live your life to the fullest. Do not let the what ifs get you down.

Here is how you can repair your own broken heart or someone you love.

Spend time with friends and family. Family and friends are great support system for those who just got their heart broken. They will not steer you wrong. They will help you in your time of need.

Begin a new hobby. A hobby can take your mind of the pain and the memories. The type of hobbies you can try is painting, reading or trying to play a game such as chess.

Don't blame yourself. In most cases, a relationship breaks up due to a mutual understanding. This isn't always the issue. Do not blame yourself, unless you are the one who cheated or asked for the break up. Essentially it isn't your fault.

Don't dwell on the past. It isn't good to live in the past. It is apart of the past, and there is nothing you can do to change what has already happened. Living in the past isn't a wise decision to make. It will only cause you more pain in the long run.

Treat yourself. A shopping trip with the girls or alone can lift the spirits. Do something nice for yourself. You deserve it. If you are a guy who has a broken heart, spend time with the boys or shop for your car. Buy something expensive.

Bottle up your feelings. It is never a good idea to hide your feelings from those who care the most about you. They are there to help ease the broken heart. The more you bottle up your feelings, the harder it is to heal from a broken heart.

It is easier said to move on than it is to actually move on. I have had my heart broken several times in my life. You can't forget what happened nor shall you forget. Believe it or not, forgiving is a part of the healing process. Every broken heart is different. The pain is the same and you can't change what has been done. Be strong you will make it through this troubling time.
