Get TV Channels in Clear Digital HD for FREE!

Hoot Gibson
Cable TV costs a lot of money that must be payed to the cable company month after month as long as you have their service. Antenna TV is 100 percent FREE. With antenna TV you can get 10 to 50 or more channels including daily network News shows, Weather reports, Entertainment such as movies and soap operas as well as Public Broadcasting shows, music and documentaries. Why not replace Cable TV or Dish TV with free antenna TV?

STEP 1:

To replace cable TV or dish TV with FREE antenna television you will need to have a a digital converter box or a TV with a built in digital tuner. If your TV doesn't have an input labeled "digital input" or "atsc" you will need a digital converter box. You can get these digital Converter boxes at stores such as Radio Shack, Walmart, CVS, and many other retail stores for about $40. You can also bid on these on sites like EBAY.

STEP 2:

Aside from a digital converter box (or built in digital tuner) You will also need a UHF/VHF antenna. These cost about $35 at Radio Shack, Kmart, Sears, Target and Wal-Mart also but it is possible for you to also make your own UHV/VHF antenna out of coat hangers for about $2. You can find links to these home-made antenna instructions on sites like Vimeo and YouTube. Just do a search for "coat hanger antenna."

STEP 3:

Hook up the converter box up to your Television set using the A/V cable that should come with it (It is called an F Cable). Hook your antenna up to the digital Converter Box. Once your tv and converter box is powered on, turn to channel 3 and press the "scan" button on the digital converter box remote control device. The box will scan all the channels your set is able to get and you should be able to receive free TV shows!

STEP 4:

If you want to clear up a channel or try to find more channels, move the antenna to a different location and scan the channels once more. Sometimes a simple shift of the antenna can give you access to a channel you would have otherwise not been able to view.
