When my husband and I were first married we lived in an apartment. It was a beautiful area with a golf course behind the building. We were so happy with the apartment. Little did we know that we would be moving out because of bad neighbors. There were three floors to this apartment building and we lived on the second floor. The neighbors upstairs would play loud music, fight and run back and forth chasing each other, giving us pounding noises above our heads. We resorted to using a broom to knock on the ceiling to quiet them. Of course this only made things worse. The neighbor downstairs would have men coming and going all night and into the early morning. Loud music, parties and who knows what was going on down there. We had a fireplace connected through the three floors of the apartment. She used to scream and swear up at us through the fireplace. We ended up having to break our lease and move out. It would have been helpful to have this type of information back then. If you need to move from one apartment into another this is a great site. You don't want to live next door to someone who is going to be playing loud music all night when you have children trying to sleep. You don't want to be moving into an area with a drug problem. If you are using someone to help you find a house or condo, don't expect help from them. A real estate agent will never tell you if there are bad neighbors. This site believes that you should be able to know this information before you make the purchase or committment and move in. They actually encourage you to report "rotten neighbors ", the more bad seeds the better the site becomes.
When you go to the site you will find detailed maps of states, counties, cities and neighborhoods all searchable by ZIP code. You can read the complaints from people with bad neighbors. These are three examples of complaints in three different zip codes:
"My neighbor at ------- keeps a big mess in the carport and around her house, does not pick up the messes made by her two dogs".
"These people live like Roaches. Very Dirty and Disgusting. They don't respect any of their neighbors and are the worst neighbors you could ever have."
"They would also on a daily basis smoke marijuana downstairs and the vapors would travel into our newborn baby's room. "
The complaints get worse. You will have to go and read them for yourself. Some of them will make you laugh and others might just shock you. Be aware that some of the language is not appropriate for children to read.
This site is a free service for you. The buyer, renter or seller can contribute information on bad neighbors. This site makes money by selling advertising to the real estate industry which spends nearly $12 billion per year on their marketing.

Don't rent anything to a guy named Dustin Pasnick from the central valley in California. He will trash your house like he did to the house on lead.
6160 N Lead Fresno we had some meth heads who go around and strip houses. This is headed by the parent who himself is a real estate agent.The son living there( and not paying any rent or morgage) drove his suv through the kitchen wall. A few weeks afterward his brother and some mexican nationals proceeded to strip the entire house. They were stopped after three days by the police who questioned the ownership of the house. After the police left, the thieves left never to return. Hope we get some decent neighbors who will return the house to its previous condition.I hope trash like them rot in jail.
what ever you do do not buy a car at gaurdian auto on rt 9 tomsriver i got 2 cars there and within weeks they had major probloms the one i got a month ago just blew the engine dont buy a car there they tell you what you wanna hear that its a great family vehicle yeah right
You pressume everyone who posts is being honest and forthright. Intelligent people know this RottenNeighbor's site can be used to libel innocent people. It's a true weakness to pressume the absolute truth of everything written on this site, and only people with low intelligence would do so. This kind of thinking of no court, no jury, just libel happened back in the dark ages. If you have a case against someone take it to court. This libel without any means of credibility and backing up with evidence, makes for a backstabbing, libelous society of witch hunters gone bizzerk. Maybe that's why at t his moment, Rotten Neighbor is down and under construction. Probably due to lawsuits from many angry, innocent people falsely accused by white trash who can't afford an attorney to deal with their legal issues and complaints.
Rotten neighbor.com.com always gives me "The webpage cannot be found" when I search for an address...

I agree with Ted's comment, that if you post info, it can work against you later, especially if you want to try to sell your home. I also find the rottenneighbor.com website to be very difficult to navigate, as it is not the least bit intuitive in nature to surf. May I suggest a much better and more useful website I have found: www.rotteneggs.com. There, you are able to set up a user account, add photos, and rant, endlessly about your rotten neighbors, annonymously and uncensored, in your main profile, plus also add a daily, chronological on-going blog to update interested "friends" visiting your postings, what the latest crap your rottenneighbors have done to you. There is also high emphasis on tips on retaliation type "pranking," which, to me is a huge brainstorming godsend. The downside is, the site seems to be maintained and frequented by primarily high school age kids, that seem to me for the most part, just to be plain mean-spirited for the heck of it, rather than for serious p
