Living off a state pension or perhaps even a private pension probably wont cut it these days. People are having to work harder and longer to sustain their lives eve when they are retired or close to retiring.
So here are just a few ways and ideas as to how you could retire rich.

1. Invest in stocks and shares. If you are willing to invest both time and money investing in stocks and shares could well produce a healthy return and profit on your initial investment. However do be warned, share dealing, stock trading and similar are not for the faint hearted and not a get rich quick scheme. Shrewd profitable investing takes time, research and patience and if this sounds like you then this could well be one of the ways you could retire rich.

TOP TIP: Be careful with your spending, buy this I'm not saying you cant treat yourself and enjoy life and what it has to offer, but instead why not just enjoy life but on a budget. Cutting back here and there can soon add up, especially when you put that cash you've saved from cutting back into your retirement fund.

2. Keep working, just a few years longer. I know everyone wants to retire so they can enjoy the money they have worked for;. BUT what if you just worked those few years more, perhaps even part time. The money you earn could all top up your pension and help you retire rich.

TOP TIP: Keep an eye on your pension/s, shares, stocks, property/s and investments. Make sure you know what's going on with them, what return you will get when and where.

3. Save more. Even if it is just a few pounds or dollars a month. Try saving more money. Shop around for the best interest earning and interest paying accounts and then watch your money make you money. Saving from any age can help you retire rich.

TOP TIP: Create a household, living and expenses budget. Work out how much you will earn, how much you will spend and how much you will save. By doing this you are able to clearly see in black and white what is going on with your personal finances.

4. Start saving early. No matter what age you are its always best to put aside that extra bit for your retirement fund so stash your cash in a savings account and get it earning you some interest.
