How to Get Rid of Bacne

At Home Remedies

Bacne is a not-so-technical term referring to the acne a person may get on their back. Not only is bacne irritating and painful, but it can have an effect on your social life as well. Things such as taking your shirt off to go swimming or wanting to wear a sexy strapless dress for an evening can make you second guess if you have bacne. It's embarrassing.

Millions of people suffer from bacne and it can be caused by a range of things from hormones to poor hygiene. However, bacteria and clogged pores seem to be the main culprits, especially if you have an oily skin type. Whatever the cause, there are things you can do to keep your bacne under control and start becoming more social again.

There are some forms of bacne that require medical attention or a prescription to cure. But, for most people, it's very possible to get rid of embarrassing bacne without having to see a doctor. Here are some steps you should consider taking if you are experiencing this problem.

1. Keep Yourself Hydrated - Drink enough water every day. Proper hydration will help your body remove toxins that may clog pores, trap bacteria and trigger a bacne outbreak. Don't wait until you're thirsty to get a drink and when do drink, highly consider water or natural sugar instead of soda and drinks loaded with sugar.

2. Gentle Cleansing - Don't use an abrasive soap or cleanser. Scrubbing won't stop bacne. Opt for products that are gentle such as non deodorant soap with warm (not hot) water twice daily. The keyword here is "gentle." No scrubbing. The goal is to remove oils from your skin's surface, then rinse and pat your skin until it's dry without rubbing.

3. Switch to an antibacterial agent such as Tea Tree Oil to kill bacteria that grows in bacne and use Benzoyl Peroxide to unclog the pores. Follow the instructions exactly on the packages of these products.

By following these rules, most people will find they can prevent themselves from wasting a lot time and money searching for the "miracle cure" and save a visit to the dermatologist for a problem that could be treated at home. Give it some time and if it doesn't let up, then it may be time to seek professional medical advice to determine if the bacne is an indication of some other health problem. Remember, I'm not a doctor and I'm not providing medical advice.
