The skin thus appears to be lumpy. It is usually found around the thighs, butt, tummy and back of the arms. To combat cellulite, one need to work out regularly, drink lots of water, decrease fat intake, avoid coffee and eats lots of fruits especially those rich in vitamin C. If the following lifestyle modifications are done along with aromatherapy, then the results will definitely be good.

The anti-cellulite treatment with aromatherapy works in two ways. The essential oils reduce the accumulated liquids, waste matter and toxins. All this improves the blood circulation. For cellulite reduction, people usually go for aromatherapy massage and bath. A number of essential oils are used for combating cellulite; the common ones are Citrus, Lemon, Juniper, Rosemary, Lemongrass, Geranium and Grapefruit oil.

You can undergo aromatherapy anti-cellulite treatment at home. Just put few drops (5-10) of the essential oil in the bath water and let it be there for at least 15 minutes. You can do this once a week. During this time, the oils will penetrate into the skin and improve the circulation. They have a diuretic action.

Massage is the best option for cellulite reduction as far as aromatherapy is concerned. It is quite effective because the oils are applied directly on the affected body parts like thighs, buttocks etc. This detoxifies the skin and improves the blood circulation. Essential oils are diluted before they can be used and base oils are used for this purpose. These base or carrier oils are obtained from various vegetables. The common base oils used for massaging are Almond, Jojoba and Avocado. The essential oils can irritate your skin and you should thus be careful while using them.
