Katherine Huether
Are you wondering how to get rid of gray hair? Keep in mind that when your hair goes gray it is normally a part of the aging process. However, there are some instances where gray could happen prematurely such as if you have nutritional deficiencies, if you have a thyroid condition, or if it's in your genetic makeup.

Why use natural remedies to help with gray hair?

If going gray is a natural part of life, why even bother trying to put a stop to it or even reverse it? Simply put, going gray too early in life is not a good sign. Even though it is inevitable to have gray hair, you may be able to stop it in its tracks or even reverse it using the right home remedies.

Can these remedies really work?

Before we talk about the specific remedies, let me just say that this information is anecdotal. They are not backed by scientific studies. However, people claim that they work. Whether or not you decide to use them is up to you. However, it is a good idea to run these suggestions by your doctor just in case.

Using Blackstrap Molasses for Gray Hair

Some people believe that your hair can start to go gray prematurely because of certain nutritional deficiencies particularly with the mineral copper. So, when you purchase your molasses make sure they are unsulphured and rich on that particular mineral as well as iron.

The people who have good results using this report taking anywhere from one teaspoon to three tablespoons a day of this either plain or in their hot beverages. You also need to give this several months of consistent use before any real changes start to take place.

Using Coconut Oil for Gray Hair

Coconut oil is a traditional hair tonic in many parts of the world. Those who use it report a healthy head of hair that is free from those gray strands that start to plague us. Results aren't guaranteed because everyone is different and it may not work to get rid of your gray but it really can't hurt.

Eat a Healthy Diet

In order to halt the aging process that can result in gray hair and to increase the chance that these two remedies will work, follow a healthy diet and take a good multivitamin and mineral supplement. If you eat right then you will feel healthy and youthful no matter what your hair color is.
