How to Get Rid of Pesky Insects

I'm from Los Angeles California but unfortunately I'm in Shreveport Louisiana. Out in LA the only big Insect you have to worry about is Roaches, and you never really get rid of them, so you learn to get by and just smash them when you see them. But out here, the Insects are insane, because of the fact that I'm in a state that is a damn swamp and it rains like every other day, the insect just continue to flourish.

The cocktail of pesky insect are enough to drive anyone crazy, from my front door to the car (about 25 feet) I would get harassed by mosquitoes, June bugs, mosquitoes hawks, and fire ants. I have been trying a few things, and I'm not saying that these things will work a 100% for anyone, but I know for a fact that they helped me, and they might help you. Ok the but thing for a lot of the bugs out here is light, at night TURN OFF your porch light and/or put up a light away from the openings to your home. Keep no body of water near the openings of your home, standing water can and will lead to misqustios, and trust me you don't want that, I not sure but I think the West Nile Virus is still around. Buying a bottle, or two of OFF insect repellent would be very wise, if you walk around at night.

Now on to one of those insect that you just hate to get to close to Fire ants, why I'm not sure but they don't like cucumbers peels so you can keep them at bay with those, but with fire ants, if you don't mess with them, they won't mess with you, AND TRUST ME, YOU DON'T WANT TO PISS THEM OFF, I use to have a huge jar of fire ants as pets in my room a while back it took me about 3 days to get a nice group of them into a jar full of dirt, and boy! When the rest of them found out that about 25% of there homies have been kidnap, a day later they all came out of the ground!, I then found out that fire ants don't just have A Queen, they have A LOT OF QUEENS! AND THEY FLY AND STING! So don't mess with the fire ants.

Now Roaches, the most pesky of them all. Roaches are nearly impossible to get rid of I heard some crap from this old dumb guy about putting kerosene around the outside of your house, but yeah! How smart is that? My dealing with Roaches is this, if you want to get rid of them you need to take two things from them, food an water.

Now Roaches are crafty little bastards, so to kill a Roach you got to be a Roach. At night clean your kitchen from top to bottom, make sure when you finish the dishes that you take a paper towel and wipe out the sink, ring out you wash rags or anything that would have water on or in it. Stop all water flow, got a leak? GET IT FIX! Make sure you sweep the floor and mop, but don't leave the floor wet, dry everything you clean. Take out the trash all the time, and just always sweep and clean your kitchen, what's going to happen is the Roaches are going to see that there's not enough food and water in the house and they will pack up and move on.
