Everyone feels pain, happiness, joy, and the focus of this article regret. Often at times we can take a step back and take a larger view of ourselves, our lives and the choices we have made. Through self evaluation we grow as people by seeing how far we have come, the struggles trials, and tribulations we have overcome that have made us the person that we are today. It is however a common occurrence to feel like the place you are in now is not where you should be, to feel as if you made a wrong choice or two along the road. This is perfectly normal and is denoted as regret, or a feeling as if a wrong choice was made, or an opportunity has been let slip by. I personally have dealt with the burden of regret in my life travels, but have found that there are a few ways we can deal with regret to move on and enjoy the time we have now.

The first thing you want to do when dealing with regret is to give into all of your feelings and let go. Just for a moment let yourself see the life you could have lived and express your feelings of how things are. The emotional bleeding portion of getting over regret is essential as it allows you to get rid of any withheld turmoil. After a relapse of the possible choices you could have made has been given into, you can take the next step into living without regret by letting go. Take whatever your feelings where about your decisions that you have made, and just let go. It may seem tough, but it helps to take a look at who you are today and to find the positives in your life of your choices, and then make the comparison. Often we want to believe that the grass is greener on the other side, but in doing so we miss what joy and beauty we have laid out before us.

With the intentions of letting go of the past done, you can take the next step into ridding yourself of the taxing regretful feelings that plague us all by starting today to make the right choices and to stick with them. No longer taking a look into a possible future that could have been made, but rather taking a look into the future you have made with your choices. Living in the now and focusing on what is here at this moment can help you keep a solid mind, and keep yourself from being overcome with the feelings and emotions associated with regret.

Overall if you are like the many, a sufferer of regret and are looking for how to move on when it seems like you made all the wrong choices, just take a moment to refresh yourself to reality and open your eyes to the life you have laid out before you, not the possible life that could have or should have been made. Ridding yourself of regret can benefit your quality of life in so many ways, from your day to day experiences, to the choices you make, so if you are looking to do so check out the aforementioned information on moving on and rising above the burdensome feeling.
