Garlic is a very common food that is used in many recipes. Roasting garlic has a distinct taste that adds a lot of flavor to recipes. Here are two ways to roast garlic:

Dry Roasted Garlic

This method is used when a toasted flavor is desired. This also a preferred method when a recipe calls for a noticeable garlic flavor.

Yield: Around 3 tablespoons

Cook time: 15-18 minutes

Equipment:

  • Skillet
  • Stove
  • Tongs or fork

Ingredients:

Instructions:
  1. Warm the skillet on the stove over medium heat
  2. Place the garlic in the skillet
  3. Cook the garlic for 15-18 minutes, turning often. The garlic should be soft to the touch and blackened in spots.
  4. Set aside until cool. Peel the skin off and then mince.

Garlic roasted in the oven has a sweet, caramel taste and a creamy texture.
