Music For Lovers
Ask couples about their favorite song and 9 out of 10 times they still remember the song they both loved when their relationship started. This could be a song where the lyrics reflect their feelings at that special moment. Or a song they danced on together for the very first time. Make a list of songs that your partner loves starting with that special song and ending with that song. Collect these songs from your music collection and burn a compilation on a CD. Express your love for you partner by writing a special message on the sleeve of the CD. If your not a computer user you could also make a tape.
Picture This
Browse through your collection of photos and collect all the photos with just the two of you. Buy a beautiful frame that is large enough to hold all these pictures. Put effort in arranging the photos. Write a special message for your love and add this to the arrangement. Before giving this special gift think about a place in the house where you want to place it. Make preparations so it can be placed right away after the unwrapping.
A Thousand Words
Write a poem or a short story for your lover. Describe your feelings when you met and describe your feelings at present. Mention the highlights of your relationship and how they affected your life. Make it personal, don't be shy. You don't have to be a writer because it's your message that will touch your lover not the style or literary quality.
Just The Two Of Us
From the moment you have children the relationship becomes less focused on each other. This is understandable because new life has entered your lives. Surprise your partner with a moment devoted to him or her. Make arrangements for a weekend for just the two of you. Get a babysitter or ask family to take care of your children for a couple of days. Find a nice hotel or bed and breakfast in the country and leave the daily routine behind you for a couple of days. Give your lover one hundred percent attention during these days and let him or her decide what to do. Enjoy the moment and don't think about tomorrow.
Refreshing the romance in your relationship isn't difficult or costly. It requires a little effort and most of all...an unconditioned love for that special person in your life. Make that effort and show that you are still that romantic person who once fell in love with the love of his life.
