How to Get Ron Paul Elected as Republican Presidential Candidate

A. James
Ron Paul is the current internet hottie for President. His poll numbers are promising. He is gaining on the other potential Republican candidates. That's very encouraging for the avid Ron Paul supporter but in reality, it is not such great news. Ron Paul could take the Presidency but not the Republican nomination he needs to win first, no matter how much his supporters rally behind him online.

For Dr. Paul to be our next President we need to bring him to the forefront of the real world in full view of registered voters across the country. American voters need to learn about Ron Paul from the mouth of Ron Paul. People need to understand his commitment to America and his dedication to upholding The Constitution of The United States.

How do we accomplish such a daunting task? Our very first priority is to help Ron Paul gain the media coverage he deserves. I've read many online laments about the bias in mainstream media against Paul. Interviewers dismissing him out of hand, cutting him off, and little airtime compared to other candidates. His name is seldom mentioned by the talking heads on cable news and even then it generally doesn't portray the Ron Paul we know.

This must change! To do this every single Ron Paul supporter needs to start bombarding the major media outlets with demands for Ron Paul coverage. I have compiled a list of contact information for the major outlets- contact them all. If there is no response, contact them again! The key to Ron Paul winning is giving him ample opportunity to be in the homes of every American. Give him the chance to resonate with them as he has resonated with us.

Succeeding in putting Ron Paul on the minds of mainstream America is just the first step. Many people don't watch the news on a regular basis. Others aren't prone to looking someone up online. We also have to physically put his name out there. We must become walking advertisements for our next President. Bumper stickers, T-Shirts, flyers- all help as well as talking to anyone who will listen. Order a lot of bumper stickers and give them out to friends. Wear hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts! You can even find Ron Paul clothing for your little supporters.

Or make them yourself. There are many sites which sell all of the above. I like www.cafepress.com because the prices are reasonable and the selection is fantastic. In addition, put up flyers and brochures at your local libraries, community bulletin boards, grocery stores, anywhere you can find a spot to legally hang one up. Go to www.RonPaul2008.com and print off professional flyers and yard signs sure to grab the attention of anyone looking.

The final thing you can do to make a difference is donating money. Ron Paul is a man of the people, not a man in the pockets of big interests. This means his fundraising checkbook is dependent on us. He doesn't have powerful unions, billion dollar pharmaceutical companies, Hollywood stars or the like funding his election. His election is absolutely dependent on his supporters.

If you want a change in government, if you want to see a revolution in American government then it is absolutely critical that every supporter get out there and do his/her part. We have until Spring 2008 to get this man on the ticket as the Republican candidate. We must get to work now and we must work hard. A man who believes in "we the people" cannot win without monumental effort from "the people".

Well though I do not live in the USA , I'm a Christian and I started out supporting Mike Huckabbe but now I support Ron Paul , I love his conservatives stances on economy , social issues , immigration , goverment , etc and I truly am convinced that the MSM , the elite Media and many various sources will do everything in it's power to ignore or either downgrade Ron Paul as I have seen and witnessed ... I only ask that people here will spread out the his message everyway they can ... He appeals to more Conservative Republicans , Libertarians , Independents and I also believe that he will appeal to Conservative Christians as well , I ask that people in every way they can contact , talk to church goers , Christians everywhere , ask to go into his website , see his articles , read his whole website if they can or even talk to Ron Paul himself ... Love you all

There is only one candidate that can bring this country back to a republic and that candidate is Ron Paul. I remember my enthusiasim for Ronald Reagan when he was running for president, but my enthusiasim for Ron Paul is much greater. He wants to lift us out of a sinking ship and if he gets the majority of our votes, that ship will sail again!

I'm a hardcore liberal, and yet I now have a voter registration card which reads "Republican", just so I can vote in their primaries for RON PAUL. I convinced my whole family and a few friends so far to do the same.

Drew- that is a very realistic way to look at this. My hope is that he does split from the repubs AFTER all the debates because they do draw *some* attention. At that point, I'd love to see him run as a Constitutionalist. ;) Third party for the next election sounds great- but you have to start somewhere and during a time when people care to get their attention. Whether he wins or not, hopefully more people are recognizing the gross misdeeds of our current govt which includes Republicans AND Democrats.

I've noticed that Ron Paul supporters are almost militant. I'm voting Democrat myself. I admire the idealism in many of his supporters. Unfortunately bombarding the polls will not change the nominee in my view. The system remains an unfriendly place for third party candidates, which in all honest regardless of his party affiliation, Ron Paul is. I'd suggest wording towards a build of a third party for the next presidential election. It appears to be too late for this one, not negativity, rather realism. I have many Ron Paul supporters as friends, that's what I've suggested to them.
